Under an “On-Call” contract with the County, MGE completed the design, independent design check, and prepared the PS&E for the widening of two bridges crossing Brushy Creek on Vasco Road. Both bridges were widened to provide for two 12-foot travel lanes in each direction with 8-foot shoulders. The two single-span structures are located on a 1500-foot horizontal curve and are comprised of cast-in-place, prestressed concrete box girder superstructures supported on seat type abutments founded on driven steel H-piles.
