MGE provided the El Dorado County Transit Authority (EDCTA) with planning, engineering and landscape design services to develop and expand the Park and Ride facility on Cambridge Road in Cameron Park, CA. The design included a 1-acre expansion of the existing park and ride facility, the widening of Cambridge Road to accommodate future widening, and a bus turnout for passenger drop-off and pick-up. Additional design features included natural infiltration and planting features for storm water pollution prevention and future highway widening accommodations.
MGE acted as the EDCTA representative for coordination meetings with critical project partners: El Dorado County Department of Transportation and Caltrans. For successful delivery of this project, long term county and state highway planning was incorporated into the design.
MGE provided services necessary to successfully advertise, bid and award a contract to construct the facility meeting the needs of EDCTA, stakeholders and the transit community.
