As part of the Tasman Corridor design team for the Castro Street to Lockheed Way section of the project, MGE was responsible for the design and PS&E of the Moffett Field Depressed LRT Section, the Sunnyvale West Channel, and the box culvert extensions at Mathilda Drive and Java Drive. The Moffett Field Depressed LRT Section consists of a 1,825-feet length, reinforced concrete depressed “U” structure for a section of double LRT track. The design also incorporated sump pump wet wells and emergency stairwell access structures. The Sunnyvale West Channel structure consists of a 2,000-foot long reinforced concrete storm water channel.
